Moist heat can be really helpful in a number of ways. It’s great for pain control, speeding up healing, relaxing muscles, and increasing range of motion. In a moist heat treatment, a hot pack is placed on the tight or painful area and left there for about 10 or 15 minutes.
This type of heat treatment is often used at the beginning of a physical therapy session to loosen your muscles and get them ready for exercise.
Moist heat can help relax muscles and other soft tissue. Stretching during or after this treatment may help improve flexibility and joint range of motion.
PRE THERAPY:
Heat therapy can be very beneficial for many people, but there are some groups of people who should not use it. This includes people with circulatory problems, those who are unconscious, and those who cannot feel or respond to heat.
Additionally, it is important to take care not to burn or damage the skin. Those with diabetes should use extra caution when using heat therapy.
I had been dealing with chronic neck pain for 6 years before I decided to visit Dr. K.K. Kant. I'm so glad I did because he not only cured me within 15 days, but he was also an amazing doctor and human being throughout the entire process. His dry needling and cupping therapy were extremely effective and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking treatment for similar issues.
I found the best physiotherapist in Dr Kant sir. I had severe back pain since 2011 and a friend told me about this clinic and the doctor. The result was unbelievable in just one week. The dry needling and cupping therapy he does is magic. I strongly recommend him if you have pain anywhere in your body.
